Planning for persons with disabilities and their families is a challenge and mistakes are common. The planner must understand how money affects the person with a disabilities government benefits' eligibility, how to utilize new tools like ABLE accounts alongside traditional tools like Special Needs Trusts, and how to properly fund and use these accounts to enhance the quality of life of persons with disabilities and their families. This program reviews the tools both new and old, reviews the common mistakes made, and how the planner can avoid these mistakes and provide the best plan possible.

The program will be presented via ZOOM. Once you have RSVP'd, you will be sent Log-In instructions.

The agenda will be as follows:

6:00 – 6:05 pm:  Welcome to members and guests participating in networking opportunity

6:05 – 6:30 pm:  Networking opportunity in break-out rooms (5-6 person per room)  (suggested format – introduction by each member guest, estate planning services provided, current challenges or issues)

6:30 – 6:45 pm:  Welcome by President and monthly announcements (VP report on upcoming programs, Membership Chair announcements)

6:45 – 7:00 pm:  Introduction of the program sponsor;  Sponsor presentation;  Introduction of program speaker or panel

7:00 – 8:00 pm:  Main Program

8:00 – 8:30 pm:  Q&A;  Closing
